AND THE SELECTION OF "MISS FESTIVAL 2008"!!!!
The winners in different nominations will get the medals "Gold Cat" and "Silver Cat", Diplomas of the City Hall of
Lloret de Mar, presents, prizes, including three money prizes (from 300 to 500 euros).

THE TERMS OF THE FESTIVAL |
1. The requests for participation and works should be presented until 10.02.08
2. The works should correspond with the theme "CATS"
3. The main criteria of evaluation of judges are: artistic taste, mastery performance, original and new ideas
4. The results of the competitions with the awarding will take place on the 29 February during the Gala-Show
"Moon Cat" in Palacio Athenea (Lloret de Mar)

The election of the Queen of the Festival:
- the fashion show of cat's clothes

The contest will take place on 24 February during the "Cats' Party" (the carnival cat's dress is obligatory).
The best carnival dress will be awarded!
The winner will get:
- the Queen' crown
- the gold chain with a little cat pendant
- special prize of the Organization Committee of the Festival
- the right of the inauguration Gala-Show "The Moon Cat"
- one-week holiday in Costa Brava

The candidates for the 2nd and the 3rd place will receive encouraging prizes and presents!

- The candidates of the competition should be older than 18 years old
- The crown made by Swarovsky factory (Austria) is a challenge prize, and will be stored in the Cat's Museum
like exposition with the photo and the autograph of the winner

The price is 490 euros per person in double room.
The supplement for single room is 180 euro.
The price includes: 7 nights, Full Board in a top quality building of a 3-star-hotel in Lloret de Mar, comfortable

The festival 2007 is over...

During the farewell party ?The cats of the world - unite!? in the Festival?s club everybody had fun! Summing up, the presenters were saying some results: more than 200 participant from 8 countries (Spain, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Germany, France, Canada, USA), about 4000 visitors, 1500 liters of wine drunk, more than 1000 premiums and presents given? Right away the silence set in and everybody became a bit sad? How fast these 7 days flew by and how quickly the festival ended? It seems that only yesterday we got our accreditation cards, installed the stage, hung the paintings and photographs, got ready for the Ball of Street Cats (cats came to the masquerade dressed as fishermen, pirates, marquises)...

What a fantasy! Which examples of style, imagination and a firework of talents! Who could think that at our programmed to minutes time it?s possible to laugh and amuse like this! As during the ?Picnic on the road? we gave milk to the huge statue of the Cat, ate fish pies and drank the liqueur ?Black cat?. And all this in the centre of Barcelona, in the avenue Ramblas Raval...

It seems that it was only yesterday when we applauded our famous Oleg Skripka, who organized a disco of the Festival, and delegations with their greetings, when we bargain at the auction, all the money from which were transferred in favour of homeless cats, when we were amazed by the soloist of the National Orchestra of Israel Maria Arkhangorodskaya performing a composition ?Cat on the roof?... |

Five girls were competing for the title of the Queen of the Festival and though the crown and gold cat-shaped pendant passed to Olga Minkova from Israel, friendship triumphed!

And as well there were tours to France, where in a subterranean stalactite grotto, the biggest in Europe, a musical performance of light, color and music took place. And though young sculptors from Munich and the most fashionable artist of France Patrick Guliano didn?t speak Russian, they danced best of all... |

The Festival prize-winners became painters Leonid Bernat (Ukraine, Kiev), Patrick Gualino (France), Victor Grigoriev (Russia, St.-Petersburg), the Puppet-show (Russia, Rostov), the Theatre on stilts (Ukraine, Yevpatoria), a wonderful trio Art Young Collection (Germany), a sculptor Joan Fradera Roura (Spain). All of them got gold medals, gratitude of the city hall of Lloret de Mar and many presents. |

Breakfast. 11-00 - Ceremony of inauguration of the II International Festival ?Catalonia ? the Region of the Moon
Cats?. Exposition of the works: paintings, graphics, photos, art-deco and others. The concert with jazz orchestra,
bands of musicians, artists of the puppet theatre. Lunch. Walking tour around the town and the ?Cats Museum? visit.
Dinner. 21-30 The Ball of Street Cats. (The carnival dress is obligatory!!!) The election of the Queen of the Festival.

Breakfast. Excursion in Barcelona with the lunch in the famous restaurant ?Cuatro Gats?, which has such an unusual
style and atmosphere of the beginning of XX century. ?Picnic on the road?- the greeting and symbolical tributes of
gifts to the monument to CAT in the Ramblas of Raval and the taste of the favorite cats? dishes (sausages, cream,
Liqueur ?Black Cat?). Return to Lloret de Mar. The Club of the Festival ? The Party for friends.

Breakfast. Free time. Lunch. At 13-30 excursion to the Museum of S, Dali. Taste and acquaintance of the
production of wines in Catalonia called in Spanish Bodega. There is a possibility of visiting Girona town and
walking around the Gothic Part of the town. Return to Lloret de Mar. Program ?Salon of Music?.

Breakfast. Excursion to the Botanic Garden with a great collection of cactus. The visite of wine Cellar - taste
of cheeses, sausages, famous Spanish jamon, wines and liqueurs. Lunch. The Classes of making up for Cats. The concurs
of short cinema and video films. 20-00 Gala Show ?The Moon Cat?: the presentation of the participants of the Festival,
the awarding of the winners in different nominations. AUCTION (all the benefits will be given for the program
?The owner to every cat?, the lottery without loosing money. Supper. Concert with the participants of the Festival,
artists musicians. The Ball.

Breakfast. Departure to France. visit to the town of Colliur, the favorite place of holidays of artists
and European Bohemian. Taste of products in French Cellars in Thuir, where there is the biggest barrel for wine in the
world. The travel to the Pyrenees with the short stop in Villefranche-de-Conflent and lunch. Excursion to the one of
the biggest grotto in Europe Canalettes and the concert of the classic music at the underground hall. Return to
Lloret de Mar. Dinner. Show Flamenco.

Every person, child or adult, likes holidays. And may be it is unique and the most unusual holiday which is called "The International Day of the Moon Cat" which we have in the town of Lloret de Mar, in the Costa Brava in the beginning of March, which supposed to be the month of cats.
During three days we have a lot of expositions, exhibitions, where the artists from the different countries exhibit their works in various styles- graphics, pictures, monumental pictures, moving compositions like cinema, concertos, different musical competitions, children?s holiday, classes of making up?
And in the final of the holiday we have the Gala Show "The Moon Cat", when the big antique car with the Cat Representator appears in the sc讥 and begins to gift premiums and presents for different nominations. Then we have the Ball of Cats, the Auction all the profits of the last we send for the program ?Gatos Callejeros?.
